Matchacha
Privacy notice
The short, honest version: this site collects nothing about you unless you choose to message us — and if you do, here's exactly what happens to what you send.
Last updated: 21 July 2026
Who this is about
Matchacha is a Japanese-matcha market stall. This notice covers the one place on this website that handles any personal information: the “Say Yes” contact form. The person responsible for that information is Matchacha — reach us any time at isaidyesmatchacha@gmail.com.
What we collect
Only what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, and your message. Nothing more.
Just browsing the site collects nothing at all. Matchacha sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no trackers or advertising pixels — there's no banner to click because there's nothing to consent to.
Why we have it
We use your name, email and message for one purpose: to read your enquiry and reply to it. In data-protection terms that's our legitimate interest in responding to people who get in touch. We will never sell your details or add you to a marketing list.
Who else handles it
So we don't have to run a server of our own, two trusted services carry your message on its way to us:
- Formspree receives what you submit and emails it to us.
- Google (Gmail) hosts the inbox your message lands in.
Each has its own privacy policy, linked above, and may process your data on servers outside the UK. We don't share your details with anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep your message for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry, then delete it. Want it gone sooner? Just ask.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can object to how we use it. Email isaidyesmatchacha@gmail.com and we'll sort it. If you're ever unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
